Do you bake dairy-free, gluten-free, or sugar-free cakes?
At this time, all of our cakes contain eggs, milk or cream, sugar, and wheat.
Are you a nut-free kitchen?
No, a few of our products contain nuts or nut flours. Although we take great care to keep items separate, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.
Should I refrigerate my cake?
Cakes do not have to be refrigerated but it is recommended especially on days above 70 degrees, which are most days here in Texas. Our cakes are covered in buttercream and can melt, sag, or even fall apart if left in warmer temperatures. Never leave a cake in your car after pickup or leave a cake outside on display.
Help! I have leftover cake, how do I store it?!
Lucky! I like to wrap individual cake slices in plastic wrap, put in a sealed container and place in the freezer, this keeps the cake from drying out and can be enjoyed for up to three months.
Do you have a storefront?
No. We are a home-based baking business that follows the Texas Cottage Food Laws.
So what goes into a custom cake?
A custom cake is any type of cake that goes above and beyond a basic birthday cake. This can include handmade chocolate pieces, rice paper sails, flowers, special piping, or a specific color application.
How much do custom cakes cost?
All of our custom cakes are priced out on an individual basis, so we will work with you to figure out exactly what will work for your guest count and budget. Generally, the cost of a custom cake starts with the size, cake flavors, and design work. From there, labor hours are factored in as well.
When do I need to place a Custom Cake order?
We need at least a 14-day notice for most small event custom cake orders. For large events and weddings, we need a minimum of 12 weeks from the time of your event. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due in order to hold your space on our calendar. Orders are not confirmed until your deposit is paid. Full contracts must be paid in full, 7 days prior to your event.
Can I taste cakes before ordering?
Cake consultations and tastings are available for weddings only. Due to Covid, consultations will be through zoom or face time and cake tastings will be in the form of jars. Tasting includes 4 flavor combinations of your choice and the price is $25.
Do you deliver?
Yes! We strongly encourage large cakes be delivered to your event location to ensure there are no issues with transportation. We figure out the delivery cost for you once you provide your location and time.
All Wedding cakes must be delivered to your venue.
If you want to pick the cake up yourself, we have you sign your order form, which states that you assume all responsibility for your cake at pickup. We cannot be responsible for cakes once they leave, as we do offer a delivery service that guarantees a perfect cake to arrive at its location.
I sent an inquiry for a custom cake, when will I hear back?
We respond to most emails within 48-72 hours. Please do not submit multiple inquiries or send multiple e-mails. Don’t worry, we want to make the cake of your dreams and will get back to you as soon as possible.
